We engaged Frank Pollard from Barker Business Brokerage Ltd to market and sell our aged care facility in 2017.
Frank was professional in his approach. He sat down and interviewed us to get a clear picture of what we wanted, what our facility encompassed and what kind of operator it would suit.
He then introduced only vetted interested parties after they signed a confidentiality agreement. Frank communicated every step with us, there were no surprises.
After a sale and purchase agreement had been signed, Frank planned and guided us through the sale process in a transparent manner. Frank knew what needed to be done, from required audits to keeping the involved government agencies informed. He organised meetings with us and the purchaser to discuss timelines and actions to be undertaken by each of us to bring the sale to a satisfying conclusion.
Frank lived up to his name: he was frank in every way. He never hesitated to take time to answer our questions. His involvement and knowledge of the aged care industry made the sale process a positive experience.
One thing we do like to mention is Barker’s commission rate. In hindsight we think we should have negotiated this better as it was on the high side. However, it was our omission not to have done this at the time and does not have any bearing on Frank’s excellent service with having a signed sale and purchase agreement in place within 10 weeks from first listing.
All in all, we would definitely recommend anyone selling an aged care facility to contact Frank and engage his services.
