Professional & Financial Background
Paolo began his career with a Big Four accounting firm, working in both New Zealand and Europe. His early professional experience covered financial management, cash flow analysis, due diligence, acquisitions, business planning, start-ups, and advisory work across a wide range of industries.

In the early 1990s, he was a founding member of a Chartered Accountancy and Business Advisory firm in Milan, Italy, building strong international and entrepreneurial credentials that continue to inform his work today.

After relocating to New Zealand in 1997, Paolo worked across a diverse range of businesses, including import and distribution, food manufacturing, investment analysis for overseas investors, and leadership roles within international organisations.

He began his business broking career in 2005. In 2012 he joined Barker Business, one of Auckland’s largest brokerage firms, basing himself in the South Island in the 2023. From Wānaka, Paolo works closely with business owners throughout Otago, Southland, Canterbury, and the wider South Island, while also representing clients across New Zealand.
